Well I'm at it again! I've been rearranging furniture and I have to wonder if I will ever be content. Probably not!! So this time it all started with the old primitive cabinet in my living room that we bought a while back. It was the one that was just a pile of old boards and Mr. Blue miraculously put it all back together and the outcome was a beautiful, old cabinet.
The more I looked at it, the more I thought it didn't belong in the living room. It was too big for that space and too primitive. So I started thinking about what to do with the cabinet. I thought about selling it, but I didn't really want to do that, so I came up with a new spot for it in the breakfast room. The only problem was another cabinet in that spot that would need to be moved to the mudroom, and of course, there was another cabinet in the mudroom, and it had to be moved to my small office until I could find a new place for it. Oh, and I still had to fill the first spot left empty when we moved the primitive cabinet to the breakfast room. I'm sure you get the idea by now!
I caught Mr. Blue at a good time, and he agreed to help me move all of this heavy furniture. I'm not going to say it was easy, because it wasn't, but we got it done, and I am very happy with the results. I feel like the placement of all these pieces is right. They are all in the spot where they belong now, and the house now feels much more complete!
As happy as I am with the results, I am even more pleased that all I had to do was "shop the house" to make it happen. I often use this term because I like to see what I already have that may work before deciding to make a new purchase. I usually find something that will be just what I am looking for, and I save some money, which makes Mr. Blue happy! Give it a try the next time you get the urge to move things around and rearrange your house. You might surprise yourself and find a few underutilized treasures. I hope you enjoy these pictures of these pieces in their new spaces!!
