PREPARING FOR THANKSGIVING

I don’t know about you, but for me, the days seem to be flying by, and before we know it, Thanksgiving will be here.

At this point, I am most concerned about getting the house ready for the family and friends that will be joining us. I’m sure you know what I mean. There will be vacuuming, dusting, mopping, silver to polish, and so many more details to address. Once all of that is done, I will focus on our Thanksgiving meal. There will be lots of menu planning, shopping, and cooking before the big day, but it will all be worth it once the house is filled with guests. I love Thanksgiving almost as much as Christmas, and I always make sure to focus on and celebrate the meaning of the day and give thanks for all of our blessings. I have to admit, though, that Christmas begins here the day after Thanksgiving, and I am already planning to get my Christmas tree on Friday!

So today, I am sharing a few photos of my pre-Thanksgiving kitchen to show you what it is usually like, and after Thanksgiving, I’ll share a few pictures of some of the highlights of the day! I’ll warn you now, lots of photographs will be of my new grandson because I can’t help myself!

We have hosted many Thanksgiving meals here since we bought the house, and I have always felt it is the perfect house to celebrate the day. It’s a big old farmhouse with lots of rooms and woods all around and a big yard to explore. It’s perfect for taking a walk in the woods after a big meal!

So I hope you can find a little fun in all of your preparations, despite all the work, and can genuinely enjoy your Thanksgiving Day and I will tell you now, there are so many things and people that I am thankful for and all of you are at the top of the list! Thank you so much!
